The Position:
The On-call Substitute Teacher will work with all childcare center teachers to create a warm and caring environment for young children meeting the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of each child.

Schedule: On-call, Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm. Schedule may vary according to departmental and Academy needs, but will not exceed 999 hours per year.

Education and Experience:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 credits in early childhood education/development preferred.
• Must have CPR and First Aid training or be willing to obtain certification.
• Experience with infants, toddlers, and pre-school, kindergarten and/or elementary school age children required.
• At least 3 years’ experience working with infants and young children preferred.

• Ability to communicate well with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as a strong customer focus.
• A strict adherence to confidential policies is required.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• High degree of organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and multi-task with accuracy.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions, maintain a professional demeanor and restraint at all times, including stressful situations.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusivity and to serving the needs of a diverse and inclusive community with diplomacy and tact.
